DIY: Fabric & Wood Beaded Necklace

I have been seen a lot of these necklaces around stores and wanted to make one of my own. I guess you can say I was INSPIRED!

The Project:

Bought some wooden beads for about $3 at Joann's fabric & craft store.

I also bought a few patterns that were cut 1/4 of a yard for $1 from there too.

I cut each fabric into strips about an inch thick.

I was going to use a toothpick to push the fabric through the bead, but found that just twisting the ends of the fabric was just as easy :)

Voo-La!
I tied knots in between the beads & also braided the 3 different strip of fabrics together....

At the ends of the fabric, I used ribbon clasps.

That's it!
